Hanno Gottschalk's farewell party

Hanno Gottschalk celebrated his departure from Wuppertal on March 31 with a down-to-earth party ("we'll leave the speeches alone"). On April 1, 2023, he will move to the TU Berlin to take up a professorship in the field of "Mathematical Modeling of Industrial Life Cycles" with a focus on digitization for the Werner von Siemens Centre for Industry and Science.

IMACM-Excursion to Deutsches Museum Bonn

On October 4, some PhD students and postdocs of the IMACM-Juniors made a trip to the Deutsches Museum in Bonn. There, the exhibition "Mission-KI" illustrated the basic principles of AI technologies such as neural networks and presented them in interactive demonstrations. In addition, the excursion lent itself to scientific and personal exchange among the IMACM-Juniors.
