Dr. Claudia Totzeck is a new junior professor for continuous optimization in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Wuppertal.
In her research, the 34-year-old deals with the modeling, simulation and optimization of interacting particle systems, which are used, for example, in the control of pedestrian or herd behavior. The junior professor studied mathematics (Bachelor) at the Justus Liebig University of Giessen and Mathematics International (Master) at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, where she also received her doctorate in 2016.
Claudia Totzeck was a research assistant at the TU Kaiserslautern and a Margarete von Wrangell Fellow at the University of Mannheim until her move to Wuppertal in April of this year.
