Minisymposium at the GAMM annual meeting
GAMM defines itself as an interdisciplinary network for researchers from applied mathematics and mechanics as well as their sub- and neighboring fields. It was founded by Ludwig Prandtl and Richard von Mises in 1922. GAMM played a significant role in advancing hydro- and aerodynamics, solid mechanics, and numerical and industrial mathematics.
The GAMM annual convention, at which up to 1,200 participants meet up for a joint exchange of ideas, is complemented by direct interdisciplinary cooperation, which primarily takes place in expert committees. The promotion of early career researchers is at the heart of GAMM.
